Georgetown, Kentucky When attending Woodsongs twice on this trip, I stayed in nearby Georgetown. I had hoped to tour the Toyota plant but it was not operating this week (and I was in a rush to get to Windsor two weeks earlier). Maybe next time. I took one picture from the motel parking lot before leaving and then one of the historic downtown while stopped at a traffic light.

Michael Smith Hayner Library Alton, Illinois The plans for the day called for a drive from Georgetown, KY to Carbondale, IL. However, on March 20th, going to the Brennan made me miss a chance to hear Michael Smith live. Using Musi-Cal, I saw that he'd be playing this evening at the Hayner Library in Alton, Illinois. Alton wasn't quite on the way to Carbondale, but I wasn't going to miss another chance to hear him, so I detoured there and spent some time checking out this old river town before attending the concert. Then I went to Carbondale.
